Binnen ons nieuwe project zoeken we een Design Engineering Intern op het snijvlak van design en engineering, met focus op body design, mating surfaces, packaging en regelgeving. Je vertaalt ontwerpconcepten naar technisch haalbare en produceerbare oplossingen, rekening houdend met Europese wet- en regelgeving.

CAD en technische uitwerking spelen een centrale rol binnen deze stage. Je werkt nauw samen met zowel designers als engineers en vormt een belangrijke schakel tussen creatief ontwerp en technische realisatie.

Wie zijn we

Wij zijn een snelgroeiend bedrijf en gespecialiseerd in het restaureren en customizen van Land Rover Defenders tot in het kleinste detail. Denk aan lederen bekleding, krachtige V8-motoren, speciale velgen en geoptimaliseerde vering. We hebben met succes een elektrische Defender ontwikkeld, maar zijn altijd op zoek om de Defender naar een hoger niveau te tillen en daar kunnen we jouw hulp bij gebruiken.

We zijn op zoek naar

Een HBO- of WO-student met passie voor auto’s en sterke interesse in de koppeling tussen design, engineering en regelgeving.

• Je volgt een HBO- of WO-opleiding richting werktuigbouwkunde, voertuigtechniek, mechanical engineering, industrial design engineering of een vergelijkbare studie
• Interesse in body design, packaging, mating surfaces en voertuigregelgeving
• Je vindt het leuk om ontwerpconcepten technisch uit te werken en te onderbouwen
• Ervaring met CAD en technische projectontwikkeling is voor deze rol sterk gewenst
• Je werkt gestructureerd, nauwkeurig en oplossingsgericht
• Je schakelt makkelijk tussen design en engineering

Wat ga je doen?

Je zorgt ervoor dat voertuigontwerpen niet alleen visueel sterk zijn, maar ook technisch kloppen en voldoen aan regelgeving.

Als stagiair ga je onder andere:

• Technisch uitwerken van body design en mating surfaces
• Onderzoeken en toepassen van Europese voertuigregelgeving
• Uitvoeren van packaging- en maakbaarheidsstudies
• Ondersteunen bij CAD-ontwerp en detailengineering
• Afstemmen met design en engineering over technische haalbaarheid
•  Bijdragen aan integratie van body-onderdelen binnen het voertuigconcept

Dit is een inhoudelijk sterke en technisch gedreven stage waarin je leert hoe design, engineering en regelgeving samenkomen in moderne voertuigontwikkeling.

Internship Design- Body Design, Mating Surfaces & Regulations

Within our new project, we are looking for a Design Engineering Intern at the intersection of design and engineering, with a focus on body design, mating surfaces, packaging, and regulations. You will translate design concepts into technically feasible and manufacturable solutions, taking European legislation and regulations into account.

CAD work and technical detailing play a central role in this internship. You will work closely with both designers and engineers and act as a key link between creative design and technical realization.

Who we are

We are a rapidly growing company specializing in restoring and customizing Land Rover Defenders to the finest detail. Think leather upholstery, powerful V8 engines, special rims, and optimized suspension. We have successfully developed an electric Defender and are always striving to elevate the Defender to a higher level, and we need your help to achieve that.

What we are looking for

A Bachelor’s or Master’s level student with a passion for cars and a strong interest in the connection between design, engineering, and regulations.

•  You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Industrial Design Engineering, or a similar field
• Interest in body design, packaging, mating surfaces, and vehicle regulations
• You enjoy technically developing and substantiating design concepts
• Experience with CAD and technical project development is highly desirable for this role
•  You work in a structured, accurate, and solution-oriented manner
• You can easily switch between design and engineering perspectives

What will you do?

You ensure that vehicle designs are not only visually strong, but also technically sound and compliant with regulations.

As an intern, your responsibilities will include:

• Technically developing body design and mating surfaces
• Researching and applying European vehicle regulations
• Conducting packaging and manufacturability studies
• Supporting CAD design and detailed engineering
• Coordinating with design and engineering teams on technical feasibility
• Contributing to the integration of body components within the overall vehicle concept

This is a technically driven and content-rich internship in which you will learn how design, engineering, and regulations come together in modern vehicle development.
