The Landrovers Defender Crigioloti in front of a big porch

The owner of this 1997 Defender named it after his four children – Here is why

Some cars are built to turn heads, but this Land Rover Defender is built to tell a story. Meet Crigioloti, a 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 rebuilt by The Landrovers; reborn as the ultimate family adventure machine. Its name? A heartfelt tribute to the owner’s children. Crigioloti is a contraction of letters that appear in the names of his four kids. One car, for the love of his children captured in steel, leather, and roaring V8 energy. Full of ultimate bespoke options to underline their shared passion: skiing.

Built for a Lifetime of Adventure

Crigioloti is built not just as a car, but as a legacy. The ultimate Land Rover Defender designed to carry memories for the next 30 years and beyond. For the family, for the kids, and for the future grandchildren. From summer road trips across Europe to winter escapes in the majestic mountains north of Venice. This is where the family plans to spend countless ski trips, make endless memories, and share laughs until the end of days.

Under the hood, this machine means business. A Corvette LT4 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission delivers an astonishing 650 horsepower. To handle that kind of force, Crigioloti features reinforced differentials and drive shafts, built to harness the LT4’s raw muscle. For this and all other builds, custom developed and built by The Landrovers.

Designed to Conquer the Dolomites, and Everything Beyond

But for seeking the biggest adventures, more is needed, and therefore nothing has been left to chance in the design and construction process. The LED bar pumps out 30,000 lumens, enough to light up the darkest alpine trails. The Defender sits on bold 18-inch Tiger wheels, giving it both stance and strength.

The quad-pipe exhaust system, just like everything else developed in-house by The Landrovers, offers a sound to match its spirit: open the valves for a thunderous V8 roar, close them for a subtle, gentlemanly growl.

Crafted for Family Comfort

Step inside, and the tone shifts from wild to refined. The interior is a warm fusion of premium leather and Cavallino, wrapped around a bespoke design for comfort and durability. A custom rear Luxury Lion bench offers extra legroom, ideal for long drives with the kids, friends, and ski gear in tow. Beneath it all, handcrafted teak flooring adds a touch of yacht-like sophistication.

Above, a hardtop with a full-moon roof brings daylight to every seat. Each row has its own skylight, complemented by the classic alpine windows, flooding the cabin with mountain light and atmosphere. Imagine driving this car on a crystal-clear winter night, dotted with a dazzling starry sky, with your children in the back… memories for life!

The color scheme seals the story — a striking Black Olive body paired with an Alaska White roof, both finished in smooth satin. It’s a timeless combination: rugged yet elegant, powerful yet understated.

A Defender for Generations

Crigioloti isn’t just a car; it’s the new owner’s symbol of family. Of time. Of the bond between craftsmanship and emotion. Built by hand, designed with passion, and made to travel through decades of shared moments. This Defender is far more than a vehicle. It’s a dad’s promise that wherever the road leads, they’ll take it together.
