Special edition Defender: Bigfoot, Beachdrifter and station wagon

Over time, the Defender family has expanded beyond its traditional structure of 90, 110 and 130. What once revolved around wheelbase alone has gradually evolved into something more layered. A lineage where environment, lifestyle and purpose now shape the vehicle as much as its dimensions. Explore our special edition Defenders.

At The Landrovers, this evolution takes form through three special edition Defender models: Beachdrifter, Bigfoot and station wagon. Each is rooted in the same principles of engineering integrity, craftsmanship and quality. Each addresses a distinctly different way of using a Defender. Together, they reflect how the platform can evolve without compromising its original character.

Special Edition Defender: Beachdrifter

Beachdrifter is a Defender defined by context rather than configuration. Conceived around coastal landscapes and an unhurried pace of travel, it is designed as much for atmosphere as for movement. The environment leads; the vehicle follows.

Its character is light. Open elements invite air and light into the cabin, softening the boundary between interior and exterior. Based on a soft-top Defender 110, Beachdrifter features two opposing benches behind the front cabin, creating seating for six and encouraging shared experiences.

Materials and layout are chosen to support that sense of ease. From the moment you step inside, the emphasis shifts away from destination and toward the journey itself.

Bigfoot, a car with confidence

Bigfoot is the most assertive expression within the special edition Defender lineup. Its aura of powerfull force with increased ride height, oversized wheels and revised suspension geometry gives it the confidence to move across uncertain terrain with ease.

This Defender is re-engineered to balance capability with responsiveness. Lifted and custom built suspension and large-format tyres allow it to adjust instinctively to changing surfaces like sand, gravel, snow or open land, without losing control or refinement. It is intended to be driven and experienced, not restrained.

Despite its pronounced stance, Bigfoot remains measured. Reinforced driveline components and considered proportions ensure durability and stability. Inside, the tone shifts to calm. Materials, seating and design are chosen to counterbalance the exterior presence, resulting in an interior that feels luxurious and controlled.

One of our most distinct builds is: Bohemian Mama Bigfoot.

Station wagon, a considered balance

The station wagon 110 is built as an open framework for imagination. Based on the Defender 110 platform, it offers you freedom to define your own balance between passenger space, openness and utility. Rather than prescribing a single layout, the Station 110 invites deliberate choice.

This Defender model can be configured as a hard top or soft top, depending on how the vehicle is meant to be lived with. For those who value light and openness, a full electric sliding roof can be integrated seamlessly into the design. The station wagon 110 can be built in all sorts of configurations, with an additional seating row behind the front seats, followed by an open load bed or benches. Fancy a mohair soft top for added protection and flexibility? Everything is possible… if you dare to dream.

Three interpretations, one approach

While Beachdrifter, Bigfoot and our station wagon differ in character, they share a common philosophy. Each special edition Defender is conceived as a starting point rather than a fixed outcome. Materials, configuration and technical specification are shaped around intent, around the journey that you will embark on. Always focus on adventure, not on predefined limits.

This is how we approach every Defender platform: with respect for its origins, and clarity about how it can evolve: carefully, purposefully, and without losing what made it meaningful in the first place.
