Defender 90

The Land Rover Defender 90 is the most compact of the three classic Defender models. Its short wheelbase gives the 90 its characteristic proportions, agility and direct driving feel. “This car is so much fun to drive”, customers say.

Historically, the Defender 90 was chosen where manoeuvrability mattered: narrow roads, difficult terrain and environments where a smaller footprint was an advantage. Today, those same proportions make the 90 an interesting foundation for a bespoke Defender.

Its compact dimensions give it a particularly strong visual presence. A Defender 90 can be purposeful and rugged, but equally become a refined open-top or highly individual build.

Examples of our bespoke Defender 90 models are: Discidium, the first Defender 90 with an automatic sliding roof, Shrek and St Tropez.

Defender 110

The Land Rover Defender 110 is the most versatile of the classic Defender models and the most popular foundation for our bespoke builds.

Its longer wheelbase provides more interior space and greater stability while retaining the proportions most people immediately associate with a classic Defender. This makes the 110 equally suited to long-distance travel, everyday use and more adventurous journeys.

The additional space also creates more possibilities when designing the interior. At The Landrovers, for example, clients can opt for our in-house developed Lion Luxury Bench and improved front seat bases, providing extra front and rear legroom and a more refined seating position.

Recent Defender 110 models are Vesper, our latest ultra-bespoke creation and Crigioloti, named after the owners four children. But also Vintage Vibes, Dan Dan and Alcide.

Defender 130

The Land Rover Defender 130 is the largest of the three classic Defender models.

Its extended chassis creates considerably more room for passengers, luggage and equipment. Where the 90 is defined by compactness and the 110 by versatility, the 130 is about space and presence.

That makes the Defender 130 particularly interesting for owners who want to combine the character of a classic Defender with maximum usability — whether for travelling with more passengers, carrying equipment or creating an entirely different interior configuration.

The additional length also changes the visual character of the vehicle. A bespoke 130 has an unmistakable presence that distinguishes it immediately from its shorter siblings.

Every Defender created by The Landrovers begins with the character of the original vehicle, but the finished car goes considerably further.

Each build is individually designed, restored and re-engineered around its owner. Mechanical components, drivetrain, suspension, braking, comfort, interior, materials and technology can all be reconsidered as part of the process.
